Please Touch - featuring works by Judy Segall. Ocular Illusions is an interactive exhibit, being tactileas well as visual. The viewer is invited to "please touch". This exhibit addresses visual impairments and distortions, speaking of the human condition for those who have been visually challenged. Such a challenge was met by Ms. Segall after several eye operations starting with a detached retina in 2003. The purpose of this exhibit is to show that art can be accomplished through adversity, and met as a challenge in order to overcome obstacles in our lives, to create positive reinforcements which cross barriers. The choice of material reference those used in pre-Braille exercises for the blind. A "Meet the Artist" wine/cheese/jazz reception featuring the Bernie Lee Quartet will be Nov. 13, 6 to 8 pm. Admission is free. This exhibit is funded by United Art of Central Florida.
